• In the light novel, Anne's father was an alcoholic and gambling addict who left the Magnolia household early on. In the anime, Anne states that he died a hero in the war.
• In the anime, Anne was seen to receive letters from her mother at her 8^th, 10^th, 18^th and 20^th birthdays. In the light novel, she was also seen to receive the letters on her 14^th and 16^th birthday.
• Anne met her entrepreneur husband who often came for counseling at her law counseling office.
• Anne's daughter is shown to be an infant instead of a young child in the anime.
